We simply ask that participants remain respectful. Because Oak Harbor Public Schools serve school-aged children, content posted on social media by the district and commenters must use language, style, tone, and content tha

t is generally acceptable for school-aged children and families. Comments that do not illustrate civility, respect, and reasoned dialogue will be removed. Comments that exceed 100 words in length or sequential comments posted by a single user may also be removed due to space considerations and constraints. Hello Families,

We hope that you are enjoying the last weeks of summer. As you prepare for the upcoming school year here are some important details and dates to help you get ready:

Open House -
Join us for our Open House on August 27th from 3:30pm-5:30pm. We will have student schedules available for pick up and yearbooks on presale. (Schedules will also be available on Skyward on the afternoon of the 26th.)

First Day of School -
Tuesday, September 1st
First Bell: 9:00am / Tardy Bell: 9:10am
Dismissal: 3:40pm

Students may arrive a few minutes early so they have time to settle into their classrooms. Select areas of campus open at 8:40 am.

Bus Routes -
Families who have received transportation services in the previous school year do not need to submit a new transportation request unless they have a change of address. New transportation requests can take up to 5 business days. Route assignments for the new school year take place at the end of August. Please review your route details ahead of time so your student knows when and where to meet the bus. See the district website under Resources for all transportation details.

School Lunch Forms -
Please remember to complete the annual School Lunch Form. Submitting this form helps ensure access to meal programs and assists with school funding. You can complete the form online at https://trst.in/PmMmzD.

Supply Lists -
As we gear up for a fantastic school year, here is a quick guide to the supplies your child will need for class:

The final bells have rung, the hallways are quiet, and summer is officially here!

Looking back at this past week, our hearts are so full. We cheered our hearts out at Field Day, celebrated our 6th grade students' growth and bright futures at the Move-Up Parade, and closed the chapter with an emotional, high-energy Last Day of School Send-Off.

Thank you to everyone who poured their time, energy, and love into making this school year a success. To our students: we are so proud of you. Keep learning, keep growing, and have the best summer ever!

Congratulations Logan for being selected as May's Patroller of the Month. Logan has stepped up as a leader on his team and guided the other patrollers when needed. The Problem:
When she is one year older than she is now, Karen-Ann will be twice as old as she was two years ago. How old is Karen-Ann now?

The Answer:
There were 123 entries, 40 of which had the correct answer of 5 years old. Ask your math teacher why the answer isn’t 3 years old.

OHI ABC Countdown to an OH-Mazing Summer! Until the end of the school year each day we will have a spirit/activity theme day.

Tuesday, June 16th - Yearbook Day
Wednesday, June 17th - Zero Days Left of School

Here is the Season 7 Finale Problem of the Week for June 8th!

This week’s difficulty level is 2.8 out of 10.

The Problem:
When she is one year older than she is now, Karen-Ann will be twice as old as she was two years ago. How old is Karen-Ann now?

Winners will be chosen from the correct solutions. Each winner will receive an Einstein Award. Either send your solution to [email protected] or place your entry in the box across from the attendance office. Entries are due Friday morning by 8:00 am. You must show your work or explain how you got your answer to be eligible to win.
