Oak Grove Elementary

Our music room recently transformed into a farmers market! This was provided by our district’s Nutrition Services Department, and sponsored by a generous child nutrition grant from the Oregon Department of Education. The pop-up market is coming to 9 different elementary schools this year!

It’s not every day that students get to spend time with peers from different grade levels! During our electives, classrooms transform into engaging stations where students from all grade levels can explore a variety of activities—from crafts and cooking to brain games and improv.

Beyond the fun, each elective group takes time to connect and build friendships which strengthens the Oak Grove Elementary community.

Volunteers from SMART Reading bring the joy of stories to Oak Grove a couple of times each week! 📚✨

Our second grade students enjoyed books that spark their curiosity, imagination, and love for reading. Huge thanks to our amazing SMART volunteers for making reading magic happen!

Author Andy Pizza spoke to our students this afternoon ahead of tonight's literacy night! We hope to see you all this evening at Alder Creek Middle School from 6-7:30 PM. Students from View Acres, Riverside, and Bilquist will be joining us!

🌧️👟 In true Pacific Northwest fashion, the rain couldn’t stop our Jog-A-Thon fun! Our students showed grit, smiles, and determination as they ran their laps around the track. We are so proud of their effort, and appreciate the cheerleaders, families, and friends who came out to support them.

First graders got to practice their reading skills with residents at RoseVilla Senior Living Community! 📖✨ The students loved showing off their growing skills, and the residents enjoyed every page-turning moment. The class will come back once a month with new books to share! Way to go, Dragons!

We can’t wait to see you tomorrow! Our amazing bus drivers will be ready!
