With a saddened heart and more tears than I ever expected, I am sharing that I will be leaving my position as a 4-H Agent.
The past four years have been an incredible journey—four years filled with memories, challenges, growth, laughter, and so many amazing young people. I have had the privilege of watching youth grow, learn, compete, lead, overcome challenges, and discover things about themselves through countless events and experiences. The impact these young people have had on my life is endless, and I know those memories will stay with me forever. ❤️
This was a conversation and a decision I never expected to have to make. However, sometimes life brings circumstances that require us to make difficult choices. While leaving is not what I had planned, I have faith that God had a plan for me long before any of this ever began. He has a way of placing us exactly where we need to be, even when we don't understand the reason at the time.
I will be returning to the classroom as a teacher and taking on a new responsibility in my personal life. While I am excited about this new chapter, leaving 4-H and the youth and families who have become such an important part of my life is incredibly difficult.
To every young person I have had the opportunity to work with: thank you. Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your journey. Please know that you have taught me just as much as I hope I have taught you. I will always be cheering you on, even from a different place.
To the families, volunteers, coworkers, and everyone who supported me these past four years—thank you for believing in me, encouraging me, and trusting me with your kids. I am forever grateful.
This isn't goodbye to the memories, the friendships, or the love I have for 4-H. Those things will always be a part of me.
Four years. So many memories. So many kids. So many lives touched—including mine.
I may be closing this chapter, but I trust that God is already writing the next one. And I am ready to follow where He leads. ❤️💚
