Big progress is happening at Scarlet Oak! The new wing now has power, air conditioning, painted walls, and flooring being installed. We also completed a brand-new water and sewer connection to the city, which will help eliminate the sewer backup and odor issues the building has experienced for years. Mother Nature has tested us with a few severe storms but we kept going!
Outside, the playground is installed, concrete work is coming soon, roof work continues, and new building facades are giving Scarlet Oak a fresh new look. And don't worry about the dirt piles... new parking lots, sidewalks, stairs, and landscaping are still on the way!
August will be a busy month with furniture deliveries, moving classroom items, unloading PODs, and completing renovations in the existing wing for our 1st and 2nd grade classrooms. The schedule is tight!
We're transforming a beloved 62-year-old building, and while there will be a few touch-ups along the way, we can't wait to welcome students and staff back to the new Scarlet Oak! ❤️🖤
