Project Forward update at George Dunne! As some of you who have played the course this week have seen, it’s Official!!!! We are so excited to announce the green side bunker renovation is complete!!

Next on the list, is the upgrade to the practice area. Crews are working on installing a chipping green equipped with a bunker, so when you get out on the course for your round you’ll be a pro at hitting out of the new green side bunkers 😉

See below for some photos of a few of the completed green side bunkers (you’ll see them all during your next round!) and the early stages of the progress on the new practice chipping green area.

There are many things to be excited about at George Dunne and we can’t wait to see you to check everything out!

Well, that was quite the storm that came through today. Exciting news to come out of that storm. Our new bunkers that have been completed so far were put to the test. See an example from the picture below….not a drop of water in sight!!!! That new drainage and liner system is working like a charm!

The entire front 9 has been completed and work has begun on the back 9. More pictures to come soon of all the completed holes. Come check them out!

Project Forward Update: As the bunker project moves forward each day, other projects are also taking place on property. Today, crews worked to lay new sod on the practice putting green. The green was stripped as part of the ongoing green side bunker project, expanding greens on the course, increasing playability to the holes. The photos will show the various stages of the job today. With cooperating weather, it will be open for play in a few weeks and you’ll be able to get your short game dialed in!

Bunker Project Update! 5/2/26: We are excited to share that holes 1 & 9 have the first completed green side bunkers of the project. New sand has been added on top of the new drainage and Capillary Concrete liner and they are ready for play! You’ll notice in the pictures below the new shapes and sizes of the bunkers giving them more playability along with more manageable maintenance to keep them pristine for years to come. Each day more holes are being reshaped, drainage is added and this coming week more liner will be poured. Be on the lookout for more updates and in the meantime come check us out and test your skills in the completed bunkers!

BUNKER PROJECT UPDATE: Today on hole 9, crews have started pouring and spreading the new Capillary Concrete liner. New drainage and shaping have already been completed. Next step is sand after it dries. It’s very exciting to see the project moving along and we can’t wait to see how it turns out. Stay tuned for more and more updates!!
