Today we opened our doors to our K-6 enrichment students! Our classrooms were ready. Our staff were thrilled! It was a great day! Ms. Seymour and Mrs. Wilson are back at it! Ms. Kia was ready for more art this year! We even welcomed a new music teacher, Mrs. Nicholson! We are looking forward to a great year and welcoming our middle and high school students back tomorrow! 💛🖤

What a great afternoon! Thank you to all of our families who joined us for our student and family orientation today. We had a great turnout!  Shout out to all of our staff who led parent training sessions, TK orientation, helped with computer distribution, pictures, our information booth, book donation, root beer floats and more!  Thank you to our CAC students who came and volunteered as well!  We love seeing all of these partnerships, this is going to be a great school year! 🖤💛🐾

Chawanakee Academy is getting ready for the 26-27 school year! A couple of weeks ago some of our staff joined Chawanakee Unified colleagues at the PLC at Work Institute. Together we learned more about supporting our students and families through great collaboration and partnerships. Our staff is dedicated to our students, families and each other and we cannot wait to welcome our Timberwolf family back!

The Chawanakee Academy family is proud to celebrate Mason and his incredible performance at the Monster Energy Mammoth Motocross in Mammoth Lakes — one of the most iconic amateur motocross events in the country!

Day 2 Highlights:

🏆 6th place overall out of 40 riders
🏆 Last Chance Qualifier – 1st place
🏆 Hole Shot Award
🏆 Mini Senior 1 – 8th place

We love seeing Chawanakee Academy students pursue their passions at a high level while staying on track academically. Our hybrid program gives students the flexibility to excel in school while making time for opportunities like this — and Mason is doing just that.

We are so proud of CAC student, Dylan Miller! He missed his graduation but for good reason! He will be joining the Army National Guard on September 15th and will begin training at Fort Benning, Georgia. We are incredibly proud of his commitment to serving our country and grateful for the dedication, courage, and leadership he has shown throughout his time here. Way to go, Dylan! 🖤💛🇺🇸

We are proud of Chawanakee Academy student, Jamie Spurgeon! What a great experience to be a part of. It’s been exciting for our teachers to support our student athletes and watch them grow. We love that we get to provide an educational pathway for kids while they still get to participate in CIF sports.

⚾🏆 Champions On and Off the Field!

We’re proud to celebrate Jamie and Caden, two Chawanakee Academy students who helped lead Minarets Baseball to a CIF State Championship!

Through Chawanakee Academy’s Independent Study Program, both student-athletes have been able to pursue their academic and athletic goals. Jamie plans on graduating early and heading to a Division I university, while Caden is already taking college courses.

Their hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence have paid off both in the classroom and on the field. Congratulations, Jamie and Caden—the Timberwolf Family is so proud of you!

In addition,Theresa Oster (pictured here with the students and principal, Ashley Bourdon) is not only a CAC teacher, she is the President of the Minarets Foundation! She is committed to all of the Chawanakee students and has done tremendous work for the Foundation programs! We are grateful for her hard work in all areas!

Today at 4pm! Two of our CAC students, Jamie and Caden will play in this historic game! We are so proud of them and the entire team and coaches! We are also so thankful to the teachers that have wrapped around these two boys and have kept the momentum going through the end of the year! Go get em’ boys!!!

The Minarets Mustangs are the only high school baseball team from the Central Valley advancing to the CIF regional championships.
