Couldn’t have said it better myself, Merry Kick-mas!
Summer break is almost over. Class starts back on Tuesday, August 24th. Have a new black belt waiting for Dayne C. - he crushed his test and excited for him to join the club!
Class tonight (2/16) is canceled. Main roads are ok but side streets are ugly. See everyone Thursday.

Just picked up some re-breakable boards for class - finding other activities we can do until sparring and jiu-jitsu come back.
I know I said we would follow the OTHS school closing schedule but we just got back to class. I’ll let everyone know by noon tomorrow (Tue) what the status of class is.
Class is starting back up Tuesday, Jan 26th! It’s on like Donkey Kong...
It’s Thursday, and we are still closed - can’t wait to see everyone but will just have to wait.
We are still under the Tier 3 Mitigations. The current executive order from the Governor's office is set to expire on February 6th, according to the state's website. There are some stipulations the governor made in order to open back up and really hope we hit those by Feb!
Class starts back up Tuesday, August 25th in-person. Masks are required (I originally said they were optional). No sparring or jiu-jitsu but we will have fun and work hard! Can’t wait to see everyone.
To minimize the number of emails, karate class is going to follow the O’Fallon school closing schedule. I will give everyone credit for the missed classes. Stay safe!
Class tonight (11/12) is cancelled. Temperature and weather aren’t making for safe road conditions. I don’t mind the snow but the ice just gets too dangerous. See everyone on Thursday.

Rarely do I see injuries but my son, Jack, broke his little toe just before taking his belt test. He toughed it out and had a fantastic break!

All students spar starting on day 1. The sooner they experience the initial stress of squaring off with someone, the sooner they will be able to control that stress. It’s also a great reminder for my experienced students to square off against someone with no self defensive skills.
