To help make arrival and dismissal safe, smooth, and efficient for everyone, Mr. Gotshall has created a brief video explaining our new drop-off and pick-up procedures.

Today is officially our beloved custodian Mr. Ed’s last day at District 90 after an incredible 45 years of service. His care, dedication, and pride for Evans will never be forgotten, and he will be dearly missed by our entire school community.

We will especially miss hearing his famous “ok” over the radio after every request. No matter the task, Mr. Ed always got the job done and supported our staff and students with kindness and reliability.

Thank you, Mr. Ed, for everything you did for Evans — from countless musical set-ups, snow and ice removal, cafeteria cleaning, and so much more behind the scenes each and every day. Your impact on our school is immeasurable, and Evans will always be better because of you. Enjoy your well-earned retirement!

Today we celebrated a special tradition at LaVerna Evans Elementary School as our 5th grade students took their final walk through the halls on the last day of school. It was a memorable moment filled with smiles, cheers, hugs, and plenty of emotions as we celebrated all they have accomplished during their time at Evans.

We are incredibly proud of this amazing group of students and all the growth they have shown academically, socially, and personally. As they move on to junior high, we wish them nothing but success, happiness, and confidence in the exciting journey ahead. Once an Evans Eagle, always an Evans Eagle!

Yesterday we celebrated an incredible Awards Day! We had the opportunity to recognize staff members for their years of dedicated service to District 90 and honor our amazing students for citizenship, most improved, academics, perfect attendance, the 5h grade Principal’s Award, and the Evans Award.

Our students continue to make us proud each and every day through their hard work, kindness, and commitment to learning. We are so fortunate to have wonderful students, supportive families, and a caring staff that make Evans such a special school community. Thank you to everyone who helps make LaVerna Evans a place where students can thrive and succeed!
