Sometimes in life God shows us a path He wants us to take, and as we walk God opens some doors and closes others. Sometimes we find ourselves in one of those “corn maze dead ends” and wonder “What’s this God? How did we get here? What now?”. In those moments it’s important to remember that God hasn’t left us, but perhaps we got a little ahead of Him and He is now correcting our course - and that’s okay! We want to follow God’s plan instead of getting ahead of Him or getting distracted from the path He has set.
So what does that mean for us and PCS? Because we want to carefully follow God’s plan and His timeline, PCS is going to look a little different than we first thought. Previously we needed a minimum number of students enrolled in order to cover Eric’s salary and costs for the building, furniture, supplies, etc., in order to start. For the past two years we have done what we can to get to that goal, and we know that God could have sent us not only the MINIMUM enrollment needed, but above and beyond that as well. That didn’t happen. Honestly, it left us a bit confused and wondering if we did all this hard work to get to the point of opening PCS only to to have God leave us? Would He really do that? The truth is, NO, He wouldn’t! God hasn’t left us at all! He never will. He will always bring His plan to fruition! He will gently change your course to get you to where He has always wanted you to be. And that is where we are. So, by faith, we feel God leading us to close this chapter and keep walking into the perfect plan He has laid out. We are open and willing to follow where He leads. We fully trust in God and believe He will lay out the next steps as we keep following His plan.
We want to thank everyone who has reached out and continued to express interest along the way. We have met so many wonderful people and families in the area. We are still open to partnering with you, however we don’t yet know what that may look like in the future. While we are saddened at having to make this decision, the vision for a Christian alternative to the current educational system remains alive and well, albeit in a somewhat different form. So, as we trust God to show us His perfect plan moving forward, we appreciate your continued prayers for wisdom for us.
For now we will be keeping this page, just as inactive, so that if you want to see where God leads we can share that once we know more. Please check back as we will periodically be making some special informational posts as well on relevant topics and issues.

Though often referred to as “Independence Day”, July 4, 1776 was not the actual date on which the Continental Congress made its “Declaration of Independence” from the increasingly unfair taxes placed on the people by the British government - that declaration actually was made on July 2, 1776. Some people also mistakenly believe it was in June of 1776 on the day on which Thomas Jefferson made the first draft of the official Declaration of Independence. Others believed Independence Day was the day on which the Declaration was delivered to Great Britain (November 1776), or the date on which it was signed (August 2, 1776).
On July 4, 1776 the Continental Congress approved the final wording of the Declaration of Independence after many days of discussion and revisions. This was also the date included on the original and official handwritten copy that was signed that historic day in August 1776, and was included on the original printed copies distributed throughout the new nation.
So, if the Declaration of Independence wasn’t made official until its signing on August 2, 1776, why do we celebrate Independence Day on July 4th? In the period after the signing of the Declaration, and the end of the Revolutionary War, the newly formed nation went through a period of partisan conflicts. The Declaration itself had become somewhat controversial with the Democratic-Republican party admiring Jefferson and the Declaration, but the Federalist Party concerned that it was too French and too anti-British. With the end of the War of 1812 the Federalist Party was disintegrating and new parties in the 1820’s and 1830’s were laying claim to Jefferson and the Democratic-Republicans. Printed copies of the Declaration were again being put into circulation. The notion of July 4 becoming a date of national importance and one to be celebrated gained more attention after the deaths of both Thomas Jefferson and John Adams on July 4, 1826. Celebrations held on the 4th of July became increasingly common. On June 28, 1870, nearly 100 years after the Declaration of Independence was written, Congress declared July 4 to be a National Holiday.
So, enjoy your celebrations for what we celebrate is truly amazing, a free and sovereign nation - but please pause to remember that our Independence and the establishment of these United States were earned with every hard fought battle and the sacrifice of every brave soldier during the Revolutionary War, the war for Independence!

Make Sure Your Voice/Vote Counts
As a parent/grandparent, and as a citizen, are you concerned about what you see unfolding in our State, and in our Nation? If so, you have at least two upcoming opportunities this year to make your choices and voices known by casting your VOTE.
In order to do so you must be a registered voter in the state of Missouri. If you are already registered, great! If you are unsure of your voter registration status, or if you have moved and need to update your registration information, you can do both by visiting this website: voteroutreach.sos.mo.gov
In order to participate and vote in this year’s Missouri Primary election you MUST be registered by July 10, 2024. For the general election in November you MUST be registered by October 9, 2024. Please note - if you have registered in the past but have not voted in some time you should check your registration status using the link above as voter registration rolls are periodically purged for reasons including non-participation for a period of time. To vote in Missouri, you now need a photo ID such as a current Missouri driver’s license or nondriver license, a current U.S. passport, a current military ID or another U.S. or state-issued photo ID. If you arrive without an acceptable ID, you can cast a provisional ballot. It will be counted if you return with a proper ID later the same day or if the election office decides the signature on your provisional ballot matches the one on your registration.
As legal citizens of the United States our right to vote is secured by Constitutional amendments 14, 15, 19, 23 and 26. With everything that’s at stake this year, do not risk forfeiting your Constitutional right (and duty) to make your voices and choices count!!! We live in a free Constitutional Republic - let’s keep it that way!

Every year without fail, in our country’s National Military Cemeteries, flags are “planted” on the graves of all military personnel who have served our country. Amongst them all gave some, some gave all in the ultimate sacrifice of their lives. May God grant them eternal rest, grant their loved ones peace, and may we never forget their sacrifices and give them our undying gratitude. This is what Memorial Day is all about. Enjoy your family gatherings,
BBQs, sports events, shopping sprees - but please, remember that we are able to enjoy all of these activities because we live in the “the land of the free because of the brave”. Our Freedom is not free, rather it is bought with a precious price - the blood of the fallen who died in defense of our freedoms.
Will you join with us at Patriot Christian Schools and commit to make some time with your families on Memorial Day to honor and offer our thanks, in some meaningful way, to those courageous men, women, and yes, animals, who lost their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifices make it possible for Patriot Christian Schools to exist and teach our next generations the importance of such historical events.
