Rockland County YMCA- School Age Care Programs

In June the WHES kids had a “Adopt-a-Puppy” party where the kids “adopted” a plush puppy, named it, took it to the “vet” and “groomer,” decorated a house and made a collar.

That day the kids made almost 40 tug toys to donate to the dogs waiting for their “fur-ever” homes at Four Legs Good NY NJ in Pomona.

The toys were dropped off where some adorable adoptable dogs were happy to check them out.

We’ve done cats and dogs. Maybe next time the Rockland County YMCA afterschool kids can focus on the small animals waiting to be adopted. 🐰🐭🐤

Thank you to all who joined us in the Rockland County YMCA's 2nd Annual Bike Day at Nyack Memorial Park today!

Bike experts inspected and fixed children's bikes for safety, as the children also learned to ride their bikes.

Dr. Jackie from gifted 2 brand new bikes to community members through a free raffle!

Honoring freedom and the ongoing journey towards equality
