Excited for Spring Valley Placemakers and their founder Joanne Louis-Paul, and happy for the support from LoHud Journal News, with this recent publication by longtime reporter Nancy Cutler. I had the pleasure of being in conversation with Nancy, Joanne and other members of SVP during last Saturday's event at the Finkelstein Library. StorySpace Arts is honored to be sponsoring SVP's Community Events this Spring.

A Spring Valley citizens group believes Memorial Park's revitalization would create a path to uplifting the village's downtown.

We are excited to sponsor Spring Valley Place Maker's February and March programs. Many of StorySpace Arts' advisors, collaborating artists, and program participants are Spring Valley based artists and community members. We are honored to give back in this way to help spark curiosity, care and conversation around making Spring Valley's public spaces thrive.

Did you know that Spring Valley’s Memorial Park used to be a regional gem? 💎

Come out to Finkelstein Memorial Library THIS Saturday, 2/28, for a matinee screening of “History of Memorial Park,” a 32-minute long look into the story of how a community came together to turn a literal dump into a thriving greenspace.

💭 Do you believe that transformation can happen again? Stay for the discussion afterwards to learn about the Spring Valley Placemakers and how you can get involved in the work we’ve been doing to bring social, economic, and ecological restoration to our park and village!

Local lite bites will be provided. No registration required, but space is limited to 40.
