The Rock Shop Nyack is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Nyack’s beloved music ambassador, Bert Hughes. Over many decades he has inspired a massive body of people to tune in to both performing and listening to music. His work in our local community opened hearts to his love of music and humanity. He brought our local talents on musical, international journeys and in doing so created an extended family connecting Nyack with people across the globe. His loving, compassionate, and deep understanding of music and people will live on in the hearts of us who knew him.
