Happy St. Patrick's Day! Throughout the week our kiddos did writing, fork painting, tear-and-stick art, math games, name recognition, and more - all themed to help us have even more fun while learning important motor and academic skills!!

WINTER pj storytime fun ...we loved 'The Mitten' by Jan Brett and enjoying hot cocoa with our families ...we even did some dancing to 'let's make a snowman'! These 'extra' events are part of what makes our school special. We love providing opportunities for families to come outside of the normal school day and be together (siblings, grown-ups, neighbors, and friends). And to have FREE things that are enriching for your kids provides an added service to our community - yay!

We LOVE sensory play! Using items like shaving cream gives our brains and bodies new experiences that boost our learning - check us out!!

Salt painting snowflakes ...such a fun and interactive craft!

READING! Our students love to read and we allow them to read DAILY ...we teach them how to care for books, how to tell stories to themselves using pictures, how to sit for longer periods of time to flip through each page with intention, and of course we read together in each class! Books are SO very important and we love them all!!

Thanksgiving here at LBCC was the BEST! We disguised our turkeys, complete other fun crafts and stories, and of course had a friendship feast! We learned how to set a table and we thanked God for our school and our friends!

Even though we are not a Montessori school, we use many fine-motor activities throughout our day to keep little hands busy. The development of our smaller muscles teaches us how to control our bodies, and will help us with our pencil grip, scissor holding, and other work as we grow. We love shapes, patterns, puzzles, scooping, shaping, stacking - you name it!!
