Good Shepherd Academy has, as a Catholic Institution, an intrinsic responsibility to continue to instill in its students the Gospel values and secular knowledge giving witness to the Master Teacher, Jesus. Each faculty member brings a unique teaching method which is constantly refined and

updated to needs of the children
and their intellectual ability. Our goal is that our graduates challenge themselves to use their knowledge and commitment to their faith to work for the common good. They must be encouraged to become actively involved in society and in their own family lives promoting the Christian value and academic knowledge learned.

In memory of Mrs. Serio

It is with heavy hearts that we communicate the news of the passing of Mrs. Catherine Serio, a beloved former teacher in our school community. Mrs. Serio was a member of the GSA faculty for over 22 years, and although she retired in 2022, she gracefully returned this September to once again share her knowledge and bubbling energy with our 7th and 8th grade students and all our staff. Mrs. Serio touched the lives of countless students with compassion, patience, a deep love for literature and theater, as well as a deep commitment to nurturing their growth. Mrs. Serio, a director of our musical theatre program, produced nine spectacular plays bringing to light the talents of hundreds of our students. We are truly grateful for the lasting impact she made during her years of dedicated service. She will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched.

We pray that God surrounds her family and loved ones with strength, healing, and hope. May we also find solace in our shared faith, trusting that God is close to the brokenhearted and brings comfort to those who mourn her.

Eternal Rest grant unto her, O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. May her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen.
