The first graders at Washington School did a STEM project in Library/Media with Mrs. Bresnan. They made houses for the Three Little Pigs using recycled materials. They learned how different materials had different strengths and some materials were better than others for the project.

This year's Battle of the Books competition was fantastic! We offer a big congrats to The Te****le Turners: James, Navid, Matthew, and Atakan, for taking home the win! And we have to give a shout-out to our emcee contest winners, Gabriel and Molly for being such great hosts. They really kept things fun and kept the whole event moving smoothly.

Thank you also to our PTO who have supplied the books and t-shirts for this event since this event began 21 years ago. It is such a huge part of what makes Battle of the Books a tradition here at Yantacaw.
