Dinner last night... smoked sausage with peppers, onions and mushrooms. Side of okra and tomatoes. Finished off with some sourdough bread!

Might as well bake something yummy since it's not even getting out of the 30s today...
Pampered Chef makes the mix, I just bake it! Cranberry-Orange loaf for the win!

He's been working on the cabin; doing repairs, regular upkeep and a few enhancements so I cooked this for his breakfast yesterday...

T-bone steak (medium rare), fried potatoes (I canned the potatoes a year or so ago) and two farm fresh duck eggs (over easy, not my ducks - got them from the farmers market).

Well deserved breakfast :)

When a friend gives you venison, treat it right and pan fry it with mushrooms, serve it with green beans and butternut squash...

Been away from this page for quite some time so I'm adding pictures of what I've been busy with over the summer. Canning takes precedence when the veggies are fresh! Still lots of cooking going on too as the okra and summer squash cook up nicely with onions and tomatoes.

I have never tried making nachos myself before so I gave it a shot. They were so good!! I think a few more fresh sliced jalapenos would be on the top next time.

Then there's the Hellman's Parmesan chicken...seriously, who doesn't like this? It's juicy - even for breast meat - and a little crunchy, perfect! Sides from the farmers market included fresh snap beans (those in my garden are almost ready) and zucchini and yellow squash sauté.
