It’s time to get creative and show us your Christmas spirit! 🎅🎄 We’re excited to announce our Nowata County OSU Extension Christmas Tree Decorating Contest, open to Youth AND Adults!

⏰ 6:00 p.m. at Nowata County Fair Building
💰 $5 per person
Join us for a fun evening as we kick off our Christmas Tree Decorating Contest!

Participants will:
☕ Enjoy Hot Chocolate & Cookies
🎄 Enjoy a presentation about Christmas trees
🎄 Pick up your mini Christmas tree and Entry Forms
🎨 Get inspired and start planning your creative tree!

**Don’t miss this fun opportunity to learn, create, and get into the Christmas spirit!**

⏰ Entries and completed entry forms must be turned in to the Nowata County OSU Extension Office by 4:30 p.m.

📍 **TREE DISPLAY:**
All entries will be displayed at the Nowata County Court House on the 1st Floor from: 🎄 December 3–December 11, 2026

🎄 **CONTEST GUIDELINES:**
• Each exhibitor may enter ONE tree.
• Trees may not be over 3 feet tall.
• Tree size will NOT determine the winner.
• Your tree does NOT have to be green, real, or artificial!
• Get creative! Trees may be made from paper, wood, yarn, or other appropriate materials. Use your imagination!
• Lights are NOT required. If you use lights, they MUST be battery powered.
• Trees will be judged on appearance, originality, creativity, and adherence to the guidelines.

🎄❤️ **SHARE THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT!** ❤️🎄

After the contest, we would LOVE to see exhibitors consider donating their decorated tree to a local nursing home or assisted living facility, where residents could enjoy it in their room or apartment.

Donating your tree is NOT a requirement, but it would make a wonderful citizenship project and a beautiful way to spread Christmas joy throughout our community.

If you are not donating your tree, you may pick it up on December 11th and take it home to enjoy!

🎅🎄 So start thinking, crafting, creating, and decorating! 🎄🎅

We can’t wait to see the creative Christmas trees our Nowata County Youth and Adults come up with!

Calling all 4-H members in the 4-6 grade....Registration for the Oklahoma 4-H Junior Governor program is now OPEN!

🗳️ Leadership starts with learning how your voice can make a difference!

Join us for Oklahoma 4-H Junior Governor and explore the three branches of government, build public speaking skills and experience the election process firsthand. Designed for youth in grades 4-6, this hands-on event helps young leaders gain confidence, make connections and discover ways to serve their communities.

The event will be held Saturday, Nov. 7, in Stillwater. Registration is $20, and the deadline is Oct. 9, so sign up soon! ✍️

4-H members exhibiting at Tulsa State Fair must have their 2026-2027 4-H Enrollment completed.

Tulsa State Fair Exhibitors must have a Legal Release to go along with their entries. The legal release must also be signed by the OSU Extension Office for 4-H members.
