Novi Wildcats Varsity Loses Despite Out Hitting Detroit Catholic Central

Novi Wildcats Varsity fell 6-2 to Detroit Catholic Central on Saturday despite out-hitting them eight to six. Colin Bennett and Adam Kandah each collected two hits for Novi Wildcats Varsity.
Detroit Catholic Central got on the board in the bottom of the third inning after Cam Swearingen (C) doubled, and Novi Wildcats Varsity committed an error, each scoring two runs.
Johnny Woytowich took the loss for Novi Wildcats Varsity. The starter went four and two-thirds innings, giving up six runs (five earned) on four hits, striking out three and walking four. Andrew Mahoney (P) stepped on the mound first for Detroit Catholic Central. The starting pitcher gave up eight hits and two runs (one earned) over six and two-thirds innings, striking out nine and walking none.
Cooper Koceski went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in.
Swearingen (C) provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Detroit Catholic Central with two runs batted in. The number three hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Lincoln Thompson (OF/P), Dylan Fairchild (P/IF/OF), Bennett Thompson (P/IF), Swearingen (C), Tommy Maxwell (C/OF/P), and Luke Fairchild (P/IF) each collected one hit for Detroit Catholic Central. Thompson (OF/P) stole two bases.

Novi Wildcats Varsity Surge Past South Lyon Varsity Lions Thanks To Big Third Inning

Novi Wildcats Varsity scored seven runs in the third inning, which helped them defeat South Lyon Varsity Lions 11-1 on Saturday. Cooper Koceski singled, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, Ryan Logan doubled, scoring two runs, and Adam Kandah singled, scoring two runs.
Novi Wildcats Varsity got on the board in the top of the first inning after Johnny Woytowich doubled to left field, Colin Bennett grounded out, and Connor Stevenson grounded out, each scoring one run.
Stevenson earned the win for Novi Wildcats Varsity. The starting pitcher gave up zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out three and walking four. Kade Ward took the loss for South Lyon Varsity Lions. The pitcher went two and two-thirds innings, allowing nine runs (three earned) on four hits, striking out three and walking four. Owen Onder appeared in relief for Novi Wildcats Varsity.
Kandah and Logan were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Novi Wildcats Varsity. Kandah, Koceski, and Woytowich each collected two hits for Novi Wildcats Varsity. Novi Wildcats Varsity had a strong eye at the plate, collecting six walks for the game.
Holden Terry led the team with one run batted in.
