Here are the Official Winners of the Invention Convention State Competition over the weekend. We are happy to announce your 2026 Grand Prize Award is our very own ICM Oakland County student, Jenisha Rathod, 6th Grader from Novi Meadows School, and her invention, Disease Defenders won multiple awards. Let’s congratulate Jenisha and the other six young innovators (Samarthika Karthik, Saadhana Satyanarayanan, Kriti Gangumalla, Dhruv Magar, Renesh Sreenath, Thivikshan PR) qualifying for the IC US Nationals Championship in May.

I was in Novi witnessing the work of 3rd through 8th graders for the Michigan Invention Convention where some of them will be heading to State competition.
It was sensational to see the work happening at Accelerate 4 Kids—creating opportunities, building confidence, and exposing students to what’s possible beyond what they see every day. These moments matter. This is how futures are shaped.
