New Buck podcast dropped today! Filtering Out Aging with guest Brad Younggren. What if removing and replacing part of your blood could turn back some of the measurable signs of aging? Brianna Stubbs talks with Dr. Brad Younggren, emergency physician, former Army doctor, and CEO of Circulate Health, about therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE). Another full house at the Buck today! Guest speaker is Executive VP at Buck, Remy Gross III. He’s helping to answer this question: “So, When Will All These Breakthroughs Be in My Medicine Cabinet?” We’ve all heard “Schoolhouse Rock” explain how a bill becomes a law, but how does a scientific discovery become a drug? Spoiler alert: it’s a much longer and windier road than the legislative process. Remy Gross, a trained chemist who has participated in the development of 11 drugs and devices (which have resulted in sales of over $180 billion), explains the fascinating journey and why only 1 out of every 5,000 drug candidates makes it across the finish line. He’s also talking about how supplements are treated much differently, and what that may mean for you.
