One of the things we love most about GSLS is seeing students discover and share their unique gifts! On Friday, the Talent Show gave students the opportunity to shine as singers, dancers, musicians, actors, comedians, and performers of all kinds. The audience was treated to an evening full of talent, creativity, and school spirit, and we couldn't be prouder of every student who took the stage!
Thank you to everyone who helped make this cherished GSLS tradition such a success!

Yesterday was SPLASH DOWN our end of year middle school tradition! We had more than 60 kids sign up and join in for this afterschool event. Thank you to all the parents, and to our middle school staff for putting on one heck of a party!

Our 6th and 7th graders spent some in time in Spanish class last week creating bilingual bulletin boards to celebrate our graduating 8th graders! As with every 8th grade class, this group is looked up to by their younger classmates and will be so very missed. There is so much excitement and appreciation surrounding this class as they prepare for their next chapter. We are incredibly proud of who they are, the example they have set for younger students, and all that lies ahead for them! ❤

Our 5th graders received a very warm welcome this morning at middle school! Today is B.L.A.S.T. (Bridges Linking All Students Together), a yearly tradition at Good Shepherd. Planned by the 8th graders, this is a day of team building, a welcome for the new middle schoolers and the start to the closing chapter for our graduating class. The 8th grade brought ALL the energy to drop off this morning, making our new middle school students feel welcome and excited for middle school!

Last night we celebrated the incredible creativity, talent, and hard work of our students at Art & Music Night! Families enjoyed an evening filled with K–8 student artwork, musical performances from our 3rd–8th grade musicians, and open classrooms showcasing the learning, projects, and growth that have taken place throughout the year. It was wonderful to see our campus filled with so much joy, pride, and community.
We are so proud of our students and grateful to our teachers for helping nurture their creativity and confidence. Now begins the final stretch to the end of another amazing school year!

There’s just something special about a school trip to the zoo! Last week our 2nd graders enjoyed one of those classic childhood experiences--exploring the zoo with classmates, learning about animals from around the world, and making memories together along the way. Some traditions never go out of style, and a trip to the zoo is definitely one of them!

Yesterday our middle school students had a special assembly featuring former Harlem Globetrotter Will Bullard! His visit coincides with Mental Health Awareness Month, and students learned a great deal from this engaging and relevant presentation. Through humor, storytelling, and personal experiences, Mr. Bullard shared encouraging messages about perseverance, resilience, and supporting one another through life’s challenges.
A special thank you to GSLS alumna Mattea Fazio for helping bring this opportunity to our students as Mr. Bullard’s Marin County Ambassador!

Our 8th graders are in Washington, D.C. this week, making memories and learning a lot too! They’re halfway through the trip, and this annual tradition is always a highlight of the year. We can’t wait to hear all about it!
