Our kids going into first grade and up just finished 5 weeks of "unearthing a story" at Notus Public Library. So much hands-on learning with everything from fossils to engineering to searching for treasure with a metal detector. The grand finale was a visit from the Idaho Museum of Natural History who introduced them to Oryctodromeus (or-ric-dough-dro-mus), Idaho's State dinosaur. Ms. Bev at the library was full of compliments for our group of engaged, respectful learners.👏.

I don't know why I never thought to make bubble prints outside before! I'm notoriously messy as a process art director and it was ever so much easier to clean up. So easy we kept creating until everyone was all popped out. Still not easy to get good pictures though (note my colorful hand in the last photo🙃).

Our 2026 entry in the Notus 4th of July parade. We got the award for best float. The decorating was amateur even after 22 years in the parade 🙃 but you add cute kids ringing bells and tossing lots of candy and you can't really go wrong❤️🤍💙

Belated pictures of our littlest ones decorating their Valentine bags. Our Art Cart is such a messy mix of mixed-up materials, and one of the things I love most is watching the kids stretching their own boundless creativity messing around in there with no particular end product required. Still, sometimes it's also fun to be making a useful end result. These cute bags got filled up with lots of love by their friends 😍.
