That time of year is coming... Time to enroll at PHCC for the upcoming 2026-2027 School Year! We will be having an Open House on Thursday, January 22, 2026, 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM (Open Enrollment begins on Monday, January 26). If you have a child/children who will be 2/3/4 next school year OR know someone who does, please come join us! If you have any questions, please contact PHCC's President, Beth Howanski, [email protected].
*Families that are currently looking for a 3s or 4s preschool program are also invited as we currently still have spaces in both our 3s and 4s classes for this school year.

Perry Hall Children’s Center was founded by a group of parents who recognized the importance of parental involvement in the education of young children. We are located at Saint Michael’s Lutheran Church.

Since 1968, we have served families who had a special desire to share in their child’s first school experience. We believe the efforts, individual talents , and the direct involvement of the parents during the school day make for a unique educational endeavor.

Because we are a cooperative preschool, the administrative responsibilities of the school belong to the Board of Directors.

A cooperative preschool is maintained by the parents/guardians of the children enrolled. Parents take turns assisting teachers in the classroom, volunteering for one of the many necessary jobs (which may be in or out of the classroom) and sharing in the business operations of the school, such as fundraising.

The cooperative philosophy is based on parent involvement while providing developmentally appropriate programs.

At Perry Hall Children’s Center, parents participate in their child’s classroom monthly (usually 1 to 2 times a month, depending on class sizes), attend parent education events, and assist in the running of the school by volunteering for one of many necessary jobs.

The mission of the Perry Hall Children’s Center is to provide a place where children may grow academically, spiritually, emotionally, creatively, physically, mentally and socially through organized activities as directed by the teachers.

The school offers developmentally appropriate programs in a nurturing, loving, safe and stimulating environment, in which parental involvement enriches the learning process.
