Campus Dining serves the more than 25,000 students, faculty, staff and visitors to the University through nearly 30 eating establishments, including fine dining, full-service restaurants, quick-service restaurants, and cafes.

Notre Dame’s own Patrick Turner and Chef Laura Wiese team up for the 16th Annual Greatest Chefs of Michiana Competition!

Dr. Turner, assistant professor of economics and researcher with the Wilson Sheehan Lab for Economic Opportunities (LEO), is a key member working with the Padua Program, a flagship research evaluation and anti-poverty initiative studied by LEO. Chef Laura is the executive chef at South Dining Hall.

Originally created by Catholic Charities Fort Worth and named after St. Anthony of Padua, the program inspired the team to present a Texas-Inspired dish to represent the very place the program started. Additionally, the dish is composed of affordable and easy-to-prepare ingredients, making it a dish that participants in the Padua Program may like to cook themselves.
