Here is the third installment of the Band of Men's "Songs of Hope" series. This week's video features Brad Stalcup Csc's original song "Duc in Altum"

We hope you enjoy!

This song is an account of the call of Simon in Luke 5:1-11 from Simon’s own perspective. This Scripture passage has always struck a chord with me. The title...

Our Lady of Sorrows...Pray for Us!

If you’ve missed seeing the guys who are in the novitiate this year (as we have!), here’s a great opportunity to see them and receive a hopeful message from “the holy mountain” (as we sometimes, mostly-affectionately, call our novitiate).

In the midst of a world on fire, seek hope in the fountain of life. Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us!

Another first day of school this year! This time, it's the first day of online classes! See where some of our men in formation will be attending class for the rest of the semester. (Yes, they are all in Moreau.) Please pray for us as we resume our studies in this new format. We are keeping all our friends and family in our prayers as well.

Yesterday we celebrated the Feast of Saint Joseph, Spouse of the Virgin Mary. In addition to his many titles (Protector of the Church, Hope of the Sick, Patron of the Dying, Terror of Evil Spirits, to name a few that might be relevant for us today), he is also the Patron of Holy Cross Brothers, so it is a special feast day for us. This year, although we could not celebrate more widely than our immediate community due to precautions, it was especially joyful because this year is the 200th anniversary of the foundation of the Brothers. We give thanks for all our Holy Cross brothers and the ways they enrich the Church and Holy Cross!

Day 2 (Friday) marked our first day of program meetings in the morning (Temporarily Professed community is pictured), and then proceeded with Mass, recreation/tournament games, dinner, and a keynote from newly-appointed Dean of Students at Holy Cross College, Andrew Polaniecki, who spoke about the importance of memory to the spiritual life and shared many memories from his family and from his life working in collaboration with Holy Cross.

We’ve had a great retreat so far. Our theme is from Constitution 3: Prayer. “Our minds will be given to understand Him and His designs.”

Day 1 started off with Mass at noon (Thursday) and continued with recreation, a cookout dinner, the official opening of the SPORTS tournaments, a panel presentation from three of our formators on saying yes in prayer, community, and ministry, and concluded with a relaxing soirée.
