Buttler JoAnn L. Buttler, age 67, passed away peacefully at home on November 6, 2014. JoAnn graduated from Cleveland Villa Angela Academy in 1965. She was a proud graduate of St. Mary's College at Notre Dame, Indiana in 1969. She was a Certified Financial Planner and Investment Advisor and most currently she was employed with UBS Financial Services, Inc. Before this career, she was sales manager with AT&T and a researcher at the Ohio Historical Society. She was active in many organizations and activities. JoAnn was an active member at St. Joseph Cathedral where she was a eucharistic minister and reader. She was a dedicated participant in Cum Christo Women's 101 and was a leader with Women's 137. She was a longstanding member of St. Mary's College Alumnae Club of Columbus where she served as past president and current chairwoman. She was an active member of the St. Mary's and Sunday Afternoon book clubs, the Jefferson Country Club Women's golf league and Eastmoor South Marathon Bridge Club. She was a Board Member of JOIN and was a former president and treasurer of ZONTA. JoAnn is preceded in death by her parents Anthony and Margaret Licate and her father and mother-in-law John and Dorothy Buttler. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, John "Jack" A. Buttler; children, Loralee Buttler of Cleveland, OH and Kevin (Julie) Buttler of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Christopher Wilkes, Anthony Wilkes, Jackson Buttler and Ava Buttler; great-grandchild, LeAnna Wilkes; brothers, Jack (Lucila) Licate and Anthony "Tony" (Jeanne) Licate; brother-in-law, Thomas "Thom" (Pat) Buttler; nephews, Louis Licate and A.J. (Jennifer) Licate; nieces, Carmen (T.J.) Strauchon, Andrea "Andi" (Neil) Rayner and Bridget (Rick) Thompson; many great-nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends may call Monday from 10 a.m.-12Noon at Church of the Resurrection, 6300 East Dublin-Granville Road where a Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12Noon. Private burial at a later date at Cedar Grove Cemetery at the University of Notre Dame.
