✨ Manly Mondays & Leading Ladies are officially underway! ✨

Today marked the First Annual Manly Mondays & Leading Ladies gathering at RHS Middle School—a new initiative designed to encourage our young men and women to grow in character, confidence, leadership, and purpose.

🏈 Manly Mondays: Our middle school boys had an ENERGIZED time with RHS’s very own Coach G, who challenged them to put Respect & Responsibility into action—not just at school, but in every area of their lives.

👑 Leading Ladies: Our girls kicked off their journey with an inspiring conversation featuring ALSDE Representative and former RHS teacher Mrs. Mona Coan and Career Coach Page Cotten, focusing on the power of Confidence & Character and the importance of knowing their worth, using their voice, and leading with integrity.

We are so excited to watch these young men and women grow throughout the year, building positive character traits that will shape not only the students they are today, but the leaders they become tomorrow. 🌟

A HUGE thank you to everyone who continues to pour into our students, invest in their futures, and help us build character beyond the classroom.

💵 Real Life Skills in Action! 💵

Last week, some of our Juniors and Seniors got a crash course in adulting! 😎

Our students learned how to:
📝 Maintain a checkbook register
💳 Write checks & pay bills
✉️ Properly address envelopes
💰 Manage a monthly budget
📊 Keep a running balance
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Make responsible financial choices for their “family”

Then came the fun part! Students were given a make-believe career, family situation, and monthly salary and had to navigate a month of real-life expenses. Every choice mattered—and their budget had to survive! 😂💸

Experiences like these help our students see that the skills they learn today can make a BIG difference in their future.

A huge THANK YOU to our community partners at 4-H for collaborating with our Career Coaches and providing these meaningful, hands-on opportunities for our students! This is what learning beyond the classroom looks like! 👏

🧠🫀 Hands-on learning in Mrs. Willis’ 5th Block Human Anatomy class!

Students are kicking off their study of the human body by exploring the different body systems and seeing how they all work together before they dive deeper into each system individually.

From tracing life-size bodies to mapping out organs and systems, these students are learning, collaborating, and making anatomy come to life! We love seeing our Rebels engaged in learning beyond the textbook!
