Please ask your students if they are missing assignments. I have a few students who had a whole stack of incomplete math shoved into their desk last week. They have been using recess time since Friday to complete this work in order to earn a yogurt sundae tomorrow. A couple of those students have taken the work home and forgot it the last day or two. Please make sure if your child has math work that it is completed and returned in the morning. Grades will be finalized tomorrow. Thank you for your help!

Enjoyed our field trip to Twin Pines today. We learned about MO snakes, completed a scavenger hunt, explored the nature trails, and did some fishing. We didn't let a rainy day ruin our fun. Thank you to everyone who spent the day with us!

Tomorrow is our field trip to Twin Pines. We will spend the day there fishing. Please make sure your child wears comfortable clothes and tennis shoes. A jacket is suggested since the weather is predicted to be cooler. No fishing poles or supplies need for fishing. Please let me know if you plan to attend the trip with us.

Our 1st/2nd garden is all planted! This afternoon after testing, we planted the green beans, squash, and pumpkins. We watered the garden as well. Water+soil+seeds+1st graders=Planted seeds and super dirty 1st graders!=)
*We did try to clean them up with the water hose, but I apologize for how messy they are this afternoon.

We are working hard this morning as we begin state testing.

Today is the day to wear yellow for Education Spirit week. Tomorrow evening is the Spring program at 7:00 PM. Students need to be in their classrooms at 6:45 PM. Friday is the Skyline Archery Tournament AND Skyline softball tournament. We will be cheering on our teams as much as we can. PTO will be having a concession stand throughout the day. Please join us as we cheer on our Skyline archers and softball players starting at 9 AM. If any parents would be willing to help PTO with the concession, please let me know. Have a great day!

For Earth Day we talked about ways to help the Earth. We set up a science experiment/ observation to see how fast a few materials decompose. We chose objects that are commonly throw out the window of passing cars-aluminum can, cardboard, fruit, paper, and candy wrap. Students made predictions of which material will decompose fastest, slowest, and before school gets out. We also worked on the front flower beds. Watch for pictures of that project. It is really hard work!
