🤠 Congratulations, Brylea! 🤠

We are excited to share an update on Norwood FFA member Brylea Butler and her SAE project!

Earlier this year, Brylea was incredibly fortunate to receive a grant from the Colorado FFA Foundation to help purchase hat-shaping equipment and cover the cost of her hat-shaping certification course. With the support of her sponsor, Tim Croissant at Bank of Colorado, Brylea has been able to pursue her passion for hat shaping and take steps toward building her own hat-shaping business.

As part of her SAE, Brylea completed a hat-shaping certification course through Hat Masters in Denver and has officially earned her hat-shaping certificate!

We are so proud of Brylea for taking advantage of this opportunity, developing her skills, and turning her passion into a business opportunity. We can’t wait to see where this SAE takes her!

A special thank you to the Colorado FFA Foundation and Bank of Colorado for supporting Brylea and helping make opportunities like this possible for our students. These investments in our students allow them to explore their passions, gain real-world skills, and pursue their goals.

Welcome Back Mavericks

What a GREAT first week here at the home of the Mavericks! 💙

Our Middle School WEB Leaders got a head start on welcoming our newest students by leading our 6th Grade Orientation the week before school began. They continued that leadership into the first week, helping make sure our 6th graders had a positive and successful start to middle school. We are so proud of the way our student leaders stepped up to welcome and support their classmates!

Our secondary students also kicked off the year with fun challenges designed to review and reinforce our schoolwide expectations through our PBIS model. Meanwhile, our elementary students are off to a wonderful start, filling the halls with smiles, learning, and excitement!

Our Middle School Ag students were busy getting their hands dirty and giving back to our school by weeding and preparing our outdoor classroom. We love seeing students taking ownership and pride in our school!

We were also proud to have Holli Johnson present to the School Board about her experience participating in Youth Tour this summer and share about her upcoming activities as the Youth Leadership Council Representative for Colorado. We are so excited to see Holli continue to represent Norwood and make a difference beyond our school community! 💙

To wrap up the week, our seniors celebrated with a Senior Lock-In and Senior Sunrise, a special way to begin their final year together! 🎓

We are SO excited to have our students back in the building, and we can’t wait to see all that this school year will bring!
