The 5th Annual IPM Seminar for the Home Gardener will be held on August 20th at the UConn Plant Science Research Farm. Learn basic principles of Integrated Pest Management and techniques to implement in your gardens with a day designed for the home gardener. Speakers from the UConn IPM team will present on various topics to help you improve the plant and soil health of your gardens, lawns, and landscapes.

Found a spotted lanternfly? Here's what to do.

Online Reporting Form: As of August 2026, reports of SLF sightings are requested for Windham, Tolland, and Litchfield counties, and are optional for Hartford, Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex, and New London counties. You can report by taking a photo and using this SLF Reporting Form from the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station: https://portal.ct.gov/caes/plants-pest-info/spotted-lanternfly

Help reduce the spread by following all quarantine orders regarding the movement of plants, wood, and other materials. Also, check your vehicles and trailers for stowaways, and consider removal and control options posted in the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station SLF Portal: https://portal.ct.gov/caes/plants-pest-info/spotted-lanternfly
