At Veterans Elementary, they are always thinking of new ways to provide our students with unique and meaningful experiences around their school!

This year, our Eagles will have the special responsibility of raising and lowering the American flag. With the help of our awesome custodians, Joe and Jon, students will learn about the history and meaning of our flag, what it means when the flag is at full-staff or half-staff, how to properly fold the flag, and the importance of treating it with respect.

These are the kinds of authentic experiences that help our students learn, lead, and take pride in their school and community.

A special thank you to our two amazing 5th graders who helped get things started today!

We look forward to sharing more pictures and moments from this experience throughout the year!
