Connecticut Summer at the Museum Program
This week, Governor Ned Lamont announced that the Connecticut Summer at the Museum program—the popular state program that enables Connecticut children to receive free admission at dozens of museums across the state during the summer months—is returning for 2023 with more than 120 museums statewide participating:

Congratulations to Stanton Teacher of the Year, Miss Mandeep!

Mandeep is an amazing kindergarten teacher. She is an excellent role model for students and staff. She is professional at all times, well prepared for class, delivers lessons that support the district curriculum. Her classroom environment is beautiful and organized. She instills self esteem in her students and holds them to very high standards. She starts off our youngest students on a path for learning. Mandeep has excellent classroom management. Her students are respectful and polite due to her classroom climate. She extends Social Studies and Science curriculum and makes meaningful projects with her students. In addition to being an outstanding teacher during the school year she has taught summer school and participated in the home visit program last summer to help support incoming families. She also teaches after school bridges. Mandeep is an exemplar teacher. She always puts great effort into her teaching and it shows in her students. Everyone can learn from Miss Mandeep!

Mr. Craig’s class created their own “Pop Art” on Onomatopoeia!

Mr. Craig’s class participated in a symmetry activity today. They reviewed lines of symmetry and discussed symmetrical objects in nature. Then they used their own names written in cursive to create “symmetry monsters.”

Girls on the Run 5k held in Stonington on May 6th! Congratulations to all of our girls who completed this program! Thank you to our coaches: Miss Brousseau, Miss Lussier and Miss Thompson! Thank you to our Stanton staff who showed up to support our Stanton students! Your support near and far meant so much to them!! Amazing organization and staff!!

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week continues at Stanton with an amazing lunch from our adopt a classroom partner, Holmgren Subaru! Subaru loves Learning and our teachers! We can always count on Holmgren Subaru to support our school!
