Bowker Hill Nature School offers a nature-based education for children ages two years nine months to five.
The curriculum aims to promote the development of the whole child through play and outdoor learning.
Reima Ote mittens. My favorite water proof snow mittens. Not amazing for dexterity but stay warm and dry all day. Also important for nature schools, they are easy to get on and off. Word of warning - do not size up. When mittens are too big kids take them off and leave on the ground.Then the children have cold wet hands and the mittens are full of snow or worse, lost.

The last couple of weeks got away from me so here’s a condensed version- Santa Lucia day, snowmen, chickens, Norris reservation, Hanukkah, birthday treasure hunts, ice, gift making and more!! We’re off for the holiday break. I hope everyone gets some cozy time and some outside time over the next couple of weeks. See you in 2026!
