A group of Accord alumni parents got together and gifted my family an incredibly thoughtful basket of cheer a few months back.

It included a pair of tickets to tonight’s Indigo Girls concert in Medford. 🎶

It’s a beautiful thing to be so cared for… but a rare thing to be known so well.

Thank you Accord ‘22 & ‘23. ❤️

I have always wanted to run something like this and couldn’t quite figure it out… but Bruce’s plan is unreal.

It’s a super weird thing to be out having a beer and also be in the center of the world’s least playful playground.

Rally Tuesday is in two days. This is one the day that The Accord School does pretty much all of our fundraising for the year.

Usually we make a silly video and run a telethon-style day on social media.

But this year is just really different- I don’t have it in me to do the usual antics.

I wish we could skip Rally Tuesday altogether… but we can’t. This year, more than ever, the need for financial aid has exploded at Accord. It’s a little overwhelming.

I’m thankful to our Accord alumni for jumping in to help this year. As a teacher, it’s humbling when roles reverse and past students show up as the helpers.

Chris, my old S4L student (now friend) planned to visit me at school today. He said he’d bring me a coffee.

He surprised me by bringing along another S4Ler, Liam, flowers, and a board game.

I had no idea how uplifting that particular combo would be. They plan to come back in June and teach Accord students some new games.

Grateful.
