Our Student Feature this Friday reflects on the various Projects and Workshops our students participate in at SSCPS! 🍎

Experiential learning is integral to our mission at SSCPS and is exemplified within our different Projects and Workshops for students at all grade levels. Through our Projects and Workshops, students of all ages are able to learn various skills in incredibly diverse areas. High school students choose from a large list of Workshops centered on topics ranging from health and wellness to racial justice and statistics, while our K-8 students participate in smaller-scale Projects throughout the year that include taking trips to Holly Hill Farm, making slideshows and art projects, and even learning how to code. πŸ“πŸŒΏπŸ”¬

These Projects and Workshops are a crucial part of our students' learning experience at SSCPS, allowing students to explore different interests, find new passions, and develop critical skills as they advance in their education. Swipe to see some photos from past Projects and Workshops over the years, and keep your eyes on the Weekly Update this year for more news and photos! πŸŽ’

We'll be back to school before you know it, and that means Afterschool Enrichment is almost back, too! This week's Student Feature highlights some previous clubs from our yearly Afterschool Enrichment Program. πŸŽ’

This program is designed to provide students with the perfect blend of learning and fun. With engaging activities and expert instructors, we create a safe and supportive environment for students to explore their interests, develop new skills, and make lasting friendships.

Some highlights from last year's Afterschool Enrichment Program include:

🎨 The Art Club decorating their own t-shirts, experimenting with watercolors, and painting their handmade clay sculptures.
πŸ“ The Homework Academy Club helping each other problem solve and stay productive to complete their assignments.
🌱 The Natural Artists Club turning nature into art by collecting twigs, leaves, flowers, and more from around the school grounds and making one-of-a-kind sculptures.

We'll have more updates on this year's Afterschool Enrichment Program in the coming weeks, so keep your eyes out in the Weekly Update every Wednesday as the school year begins!
