"Break a string!" Fifteen SBW cellists are members of a local youth orchestra: Norwalk Youth Symphony, Greater Connecticut Youth Orchestras - GCTYO, or Western Connecticut Youth Orchestra. Thirteen of them are auditioning for placement today and tomorrow. Toi toi toi!

SEVENTEEN studio members are attending 13 different music camps this summer! New England Music Camp, Luzerne Music Center, Ithaca Suzuki Institute Advanced Program with Elizabeth Simkin, GCTYO Summer Music Festival, Ogontz White Mountain Suzuki Institute, Chicago Suzuki Institute, Hartt Suzuki Institute, Westchester Suzuki Institute, our own SBW Cello Studio youth orchestra , Charles Ives Music Festival, Green Mountain Suzuki Institute, Chamber Music Central, and Chamber Music Institute (CT)!

Participation in a is an incredibly experience for many young musicians. Students often make a few months’ worth of progress in a week or two, and memories of the joy of camp can make it much easier to diligently during the following school year. Also, if you hear from other teachers along the way, that diversity of input can allow your primary teacher to guide you for many many years 💕🎶✨
