Our play-based preschool program introduces students from age 3-5 to what it mea
ns to be part of a community. Students are given a great deal of autonomy for portions of the day to chose activities based on their current interests. Our elementary classroom is designed for children transitioning from a play-based environment. Inquiry and imagination become the focus as we dive into a more formal learning environment. Cooperative learning in group projects helps this group continue to focus on building community. Our project-based middle school classroom uses a wide range of curriculum resources that reflect the values of independence, self-motivation and peer learning. There is a strong emphasis on global studies and social justice. Our values:
