~Vice President’s Message~

We are in need of Board Members! Right now there are only 3 of us and we can't continue like this so we are asking for members to step up and volunteer!

Our Wall of Honor dinner will take place at the Norwalk Inn, 99 East Ave, on May 17, 2026 at 3 PM. The cost is $55. This year’s recipients are:

Oran Young-Class of 1959
Jamie Cat Callan-Class of 1971
Jeff Spahr- Class of 1974
Richard Tavella- Class of 1975
Pete Tucci-Class of 1993

Please join us celebrate our new recipients!

Anyone wishing to join one or more of our committees can contact the chairperson of that committee and give them your name and information. The only committee not open to the general is the Wall of Honor Committee which consists of former honorees or relatives of honorees. The President of the NHS Alumni Association is an ex-officio member of all committees. Our Organization presently constitutes the following committees:

Scholarship Committee:

Essentially, everyone is on the committee since we all take responsibility to recruit our classmates.

Social Media and Website:
Marketing the NHS Alumni Association is vital to our organization. Anyone interested in helping out with our website and has the experience with working on websites please contact me at the email listed below. Your ideas on improving this aspect of the organization are vital and greatly needed. You can email Glenn Iannaccone at [email protected]. We need your ideas and any interesting stories you might have about NHS.

Happy Spring!
We will be giving out our scholarships this year on Thursday, May 22.
There are 15 scholarships totaling $20,700.
Our annual picnic is planned for July 10 at Cranbury Park. All members are invited.

We are in the process of re-printing and updating our Membership Roster. If you have not paid your membership dues, please send in your payment
today so that we may include your information as a paid member of this organization on our updated roster. If you have not paid your
dues by the time this goes to print, we will, unfortunately, have to eliminate your name from the list. It is important that we have an
updated and accurate roster. If you have moved or if any other information has changed, please be sure to let us know.

We are having our Holiday Party this year on Sunday, December 15 at City Hall's Community Room, our former Library. It will begin at 12PM until 4 PM. All members are welcome. We will have pizzas and desserts. Hope to see you there.

Welcome to Fall!

We had a very successful picnic this year. We had around 50 people attend. Thank you to Patty Maiatico for putting it together again this year.

We are getting ready for our Wall of Honor ceremony that will take place on October 6 at the Laurel Club, 13 North Ave. It will start at 3 PM.

This year we will be honoring 3 graduates.

Glenn Iannaccone Class of 1971( I am honored to be a part of this group)

Please see the ticket form at the bottom of the newsletter. We hope to see you at the ceremony. It is only $40.00 per person which includes a buffet.

The NHS Parents Club is requesting help fundraising now that they no longer have the concession stand (which was their biggest fundraiser). The Norwalk High Parents club raises funds for scholarships, PGP, teacher and club requests etc.. thank you!

Welcome to the warm weather!
We will be holding our annual picnic on Thursday, July 11 at Cranbury Park again. The picnic will begin at 5PM. All members are invited. If you haven't paid your dues you can do so at the picnic.

This year we handed out $17,000.00 worth of NHSAA scholarships on May 23.
The Wall of Honor will take place on Sunday, October 6 at the Laurels Club at 3 PM. The address is 13 North Ave in Norwalk. We plan to announce this years recipients at the picnic.

~Presidents Message~

Happy New Year!

Our Holiday party was held on Sunday, December 10 at City Hall in the Community Room, our former Library from 12 to 2 PM. We had about 30 members attend. Hope you all had an enjoyable time. I think having the party on a Sunday afternoon worked very well for all so, we will continue to hold it on a Sunday afternoon. I hope we will see more of you next year!

We will be having our Annual Meeting this year on Zoom on Wednesday, January 17 at 4:30 PM. The invitation is below.
