The test that started it all, an EEG. Nirvaan started having (we had no idea what they were - except that he would jerk his left hand or leg occasionally). After, the head of neurology (with no bedside manner) came in & told us he had a stroke. A stroke? He’s a baby! I recall going home & sitting on the deck for hours ~ it was the day 5 lives changed.

You pick yourself up, there’s much work to be done.

Months later, I remember reading in the library about a I knew this would be our solution. I tried NYU & Boston children’s ~ they turned us down. Grand Ormond street was next but, Miami Children’s was where God intended for us to go.
If you know us, you know the life altering events that lead us there ~ the place we were meant to be ~ to get the help we deserved.

Today we celebrate 14 years of being seizure free🙏
We celebrate ~ Dr. Ragheb & Dr Duchowny for their compassion & expertise that changed our lives forever 💜

This is Chubs, the wonderful horse aka Houdini Nirvaan rides 😂

Upon his escape from his stall, our dear Chubs managed to unstack all the hay in the aisle creating a magnificent buffet. Chubs’ idea of nirvana! Done with his freedom? NOPE! He looked around the Little Britches Farm and thought, “Who wants to join me in my next adventure?” Stay tuned….
