Horizons at CT State Norwalk is an award-winning, tuition-free academic and enrichment program serving students throughout the Norwalk community. Each summer, we’re proud to welcome Horizons to our campus, where students have the opportunity to learn and grow in a college environment.

We’re also proud to see our alumni giving back to the program where Jodi Colucci (Class of ’24) has been serving as the Horizons nurse since graduating from CT State Norwalk with her nursing degree.

Registration for our senior citizen population (62 and older) is coming up soon! We will be hosting a pre-advising workshop on Saturday, August 15 from 9am - 1pm where students can begin the registration process and receive their student ID number as well as learn more about all our credit and non-credit offerings. Then on Wednesday, August 26 from 2pm - 3pm, join us to meet with an advisor and get personalized, one-on-one assistance to register for classes.

A huge shoutout to our amazing student, Lauren De Luque Mendoza, for taking over our IG/FB stories this week as she documented her time at the Oxford Consortium for Human Rights in Oxford, England. During her time, she attended sessions from topics spanning on the Ethics and Regulation of AI to New Tech and Wildlife Conservation.

Lauren is currently a Paralegal Studies major on Norwalk's campus who will be graduating at the end of this year. A foreign-trained attorney, she enrolled at CT State to rebuild and strengthen her legal career in the U.S., and we're so proud to support her as she continues that journey.

Our College for Kids program offers engaging, week-long courses, providing young learners with the opportunity to explore new interests and build new or existing skills as they experience learning in a college environment. There are over 20 courses to choose for students to choose from including popular classes like Act It Out, Babysitting Training, and College App & Writing Bootcamp.

Starting Tuesday, June 16, our campus will transition to a new ID scanning system. All current ID badge readers at building entrances will move from a tap-in model to a barcode scanning model. Please note that the printed barcode on your ID must be clearly visible when scanning.

If you need a replacement ID, please visit the campus security desk in the East Campus main lobby.

Additionally, while every effort will be made to ensure a smooth transition, some adjustments to daily routines might be necessary.
