🎓💙 Our fifth-grade promotion ceremony was filled with moments of joy, gratitude, and remembrance as we celebrated our Class of 2026.

The ceremony began with a heartwarming surprise when fifth grader Riley was invited to lead the Pledge of Allegiance. Joining her was a very special guest: her mother, Sgt. Erica Gildae, who had returned from an eight-month military deployment just the night before. The emotional reunion between mother and daughter was a moment our school community will never forget. 🇺🇸❤️

As we celebrated our students' achievements and prepared them for the transition to middle school, we also took time to honor a cherished member of the Class of 2026. At the conclusion of the ceremony, we paid tribute to Summer Fawcett, who tragically passed away while the class was in first grade. Principal Masone presented Summer’s promotion certificate to her mother and brother, ensuring that Summer remained an important part of this milestone celebration. 🌻💛

It's testing time! Third, fourth, and fifth graders had fun at our Smarter Balanced Assessment Pep Rally last Friday. Today was the first day of testing. Good luck, everyone!

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to all our incredible teachers. Thank you to our kind and creative PTO for decorating doors. They are amazing!

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! Cranbury School is the Mr. Frosty's Ice Cream Wars Champion for 2026! We got to design our own flavor. Cranbury Cub Crumble is a vanilla and chocolate ice cream with fudge ripple, gummy bears, and Oreos. We enjoyed a whole school ice cream party and a generous donation from Mr. Frosty's.

Today fifth grade students visited Ambler Farm to explore ecosystems. Students learned about how to plant peas, about different kinds of bees, and about the importance of pollination. They pet some giant bunnies, took a hayride to check out some composting areas, and tasted some natural garlic plants!

Cranbury students are pollinators! They work all year long tending to our Welcome Garden, Pollinator Pathway Garden, and Oyster Shell Park gardens. They harvest the seeds from native plants such as milkweed, Joe-Pye W**d, Blazing Star, and Purple Coneflower. The seeds are packed in labeled envelopes or seed bombs. Then our student ambassadors handed out seeds to community members who attended the Earth Day Festival over the weekend.

Our fourth graders participating in a Living Museum this week. They dressed in character and shared key elements about their accomplishments. This was a wonderful way for them to practice being effective communicators.

Students enjoyed Tropical Green Smoothies today and many got to ride the Blender Bike! The smoothies are made of mango, avocado, kale, strawberry yogurt, and milk. They are high in vitamins, minerals & antioxidants! Thanks, Chartwells!
