Sunday, Fun Day! Our instructors are working hard to get these kiddos through the process! That's my stack of certificates to issue today. Crazy!... I just did a stack like that on Friday! Our instructors work hard to meet your needs, you don't get that level of service from the high schools in this area that try to do drivers ed, they would have been further ahead partnering up with us!

This one excites us!
Excused absences for Drivers Education (SEC 3321.043 ORC) Updated... High School Students will now be permitted excused absences from school for the sole purpose of attending a drivers education course, up to a maximum of eight hours (no more than two hours per day for up to four nonconsecutive days). Students will be required to complete any missed classroom assignments.

**That is between you and your parents, we have permission slips available. No more of the schools local policy, this is state wide.

This one does not excite us, but we do see the point....
You must have a valid permit to attend drivers education courses. (Sec 4508.02 ORC) It's a one month change from the 15 and 5 month rule, unless we see another part enacted this means you must be 15 and 6 months to get a permit and then sign up for drivers education.

**Anyone under the age of 21 will be required to complete the full 24 classroom instruction and 8 hours of behind the wheel instruction to obtain an Ohio drivers license.**

It wasn't us... The great State of Ohio just changed testing rules as of 7/1/25. You must completely complete driver's education and have your certificate issued before you can schedule the test. That part made a lot of people mad that had went ahead and scheduled their tests already, because the BMV canceled all tests scheduled that did not have a certificate. When you do show up to take your test at the BMV, you must now have your 50-hour affidavit with you and notarized. Again, this is not American driving School policy. This is set by the Ohio BMV effective today.

SUNDAYS ONLY CLASS
Starts February 9th @ the Norwalk Location. This class is offered for our student athletes that can not make it to the normal weekly classes. This will be the last Sundays only class for this school year. Call today to get your student enrolled.
