Special Needs Moms & Caregivers Need Special Care

Are you a Mom and a Caregiver? Maybe your child was born with medical conditions that soon classified them as a "special needs" child. Or your healthy child was suddenly diagnosed with a chronic medical condition and your entire world was turned upside down in an instant? Maybe you're the Caregiver for a spouse, parent or loved one? Do you wake up every morning worrying about how your day will unfold and you feel lonely even though you are "never" alone? If you're like me, when was the last time someone asked you how you were, and you said, “fine, okay, or things are good” … but you weren’t? You find that sometimes it’s just easy to say you’re doing fine because you don’t have the energy to explain how you really are because no one really understands your world ~ it's just too much to explain? Like many of you I wear many hats ~ wife, friend, daughter, sister, neighbor. Most important, I'm a Mom. For lack of a better word, I'm a "Special Needs" mom. And, I just added Homeschooling mom to the list! My husband and I are the primary caregivers for our beautiful daughter. In addition, for several years I was the caregiver for my parents, a member of the sandwich generation. Keeping my head above water has at times, been a struggle. I will be your Health Coach who “gets it” and understands your world as a "caregiver" because that's my world. I will be that person who understands what your day to day living is like without you saying a word, without you having to explain … I get it!
