When Teacher Eyes are Smiling!!
We are ready for Monday!!! The staff has done an AMAZING job designing their classrooms and materials to promote a safe and healthy environment!!!
Hello! We are truly missing all our families, it has been so long!
We are busy, busy, busy, preparing the center for reopening on 6/29/2020, providing the Governor does not extend our closing! Our teachers have begun working in their classrooms, Mr. Joe and Mr. Matt have been working continually on maintenance and updates within the classrooms and outside. Most importantly, we are working on systems and procedures to maintain the health and safety of our families returning to childcare. We will be sure all our families will have a copy of our new Health and Safety policies when they are finalized.
We will begin the re-enrollment process next week. I would appreciate an email stating your intentions to return, whether is be upon re-opening, for the fall, or to disenroll. My email is
(remember there is no spacing in an email, and FB does not allow me to link email) Drenquinha @ ehcc . net.
We have gathered up and bagged all children's belongings, and are ready to be picked up. Arrangements will be made in the upcoming weeks to arrange times and days, so we can maintain social distancing requirements.
Have a great day!
We are heartbroken that we are mandated to stay closed till June 29 💔😥. But when you think of the close contact that young children require to be cared for, we can understand the need for safety to protect our very young.
We have a number of families participating in the Class DOJO, and we would love to see more involvement! Please email [email protected] for an invitation link. Sharing pictures of your child participating is a great way for the children to remember their class mates! With the nice weather approaching, Spring themes are happening!
Hope all our families are safe and healthy. We are missing you all, and so is Manny!
To be invited to the class dojo, please email your child’s name to: [email protected]
I am excited to announce that Ms. Jenna will be presenting a class dojo for children, ages2-5 😄. See a message from her and the information on how to log in!
[03/21/20] The list of Emergency Child Care Centers has been completed and is available on their site at Mass.gov
A couple of extra recipes for at home play!
Salt Dough: 1 cup salt, 2 cups flour 1 cup water. This recipe can be baked to harden then paint!
Home schooling schedule 😄
Good evening! I would like to take this time to give everyone a few ideas to do with you children while your staying safe at home!
Children love sensory play! Water play is always a favorite. A large bucket, such as a dish bucket or large storage container with a few measuring cups, disposable or unbreakable cups, funnels, or washing their toys with a little soap added.
Also, check out Mary's Sensory Fillers and more at https://www.facbook.com/SensoryFillers/ or search it on Facebook for some affordable sensory play, with a local pickup in Attleboro, close to Capron Park! Cash and Venmo are the forms of payment accepted.
Story Time! Kellie Roe (a former beloved infant teacher of ours) is doing live story time at 10:00 am on Facebook! Just like her page and enjoy :) Fun stories with added guests, such her dogs and chickens making guest appearances!
Music! A few pots and pans and a spoon is always fun, and of course, dancing! Add scarf or two for them to swing around for a change!
Playdough is a great fine motor as well as sensory. If you don't have any at home, an easy recipe: 2 cups of flour, 4 tsp cream of tartar, 1 cup of salt, 1/12 - 2 cups of boiling water, 3-4 Tb of vegetable oil, and food coloring of your choice: Add oil and food coloring to boiling water. Combine remaining ingredients & mix well. As you knead the dough it will get smoother. Allow children to knead dough for their enjoyment!
Cooking and baking is always fun for children! Stirring, measuring, plastic knife for cutting light vegetables.
Don't forget the physical activities to help burn off energy. If you stuck indoor with rain, follow the leader with hoping, skipping, jumping, etc. will help.
For school age children, I will attach a photo of a great home schooling schedule, in a separate post soon to follow, that was created and posted by an Assistant Principle in Taunton. I encourage printing it, as a visual for them to understand.
Lastly, for anyone who might need Emergency Childhood, a list of available centers will be posted on Saturday afternoon, on the Department of Early Education and Care website. You can easily search it, or go to Mass.gov and find it under their departments.
Stay safe, stay calm and enjoy quality family time!
Effective Monday, 3/23/2020, Governor Baker has closed all child care centers through 4/6/2020.
For any families who have recently lost an income and are in need of food assistance, please call 508-285-0235 for an emergency application.
I will update any information from the Department of Early Education and Care as it becomes available.
Be calm, stay safe and wash your hands!
[03/18/20] We are continuing to remain open at this time for any families who need to remain in the work force. Please keep us informed of your intentions of attending if and when they should change.
[03/16/20] Please call and inform us of your intention to attend care over the next 3 weeks so we can plan staff accordingly. For anyone with subsidized child care, calling to inform us of your intention is very important. No subsidies will be jeopardized as long as intentions are properly documented, regardless of the number of absences during this state of emergency. Thank you.
[03/16/20] While we remain open tomorrow, we are asking families to responsibly exclude yourself from care if you are already home caring for other family members, currently or temporarily unemployed, or any circumstances which allow you to keep your children with you at home. Thank you for your full cooperation during this state of emergency.
As of now, we are cautiously planning to open on Monday. However, this can change with a 24 hour notice should any emergency situation arise.
We will also accept children from Norton and Attleboro, as the schools have closed on precaution and not infection.
We worked diligently doing a deep cleaning and disinfecting on Friday and will be closely monitoring hand washing upon entrance to our center.
In Pre-K today: They danced to the beat with paint 🎨 n their feet! Happy National Music in our Schools month!
Children are excited! Need the cement to finish drying and the ok from our Licensor!
[02/07/20] Our power is out! While we are fine now, we will soon be in the dark, with only our emergency lighting. Please pick up your children as soon as possible. Thank you
