Panther Families and Community -
As a proud graduate of Grill School, Norton Middle School, and Norton High School, this district has always stood for personal pride in where I grew up and where important, formative events happened. I am proud of my hometown and school district, and that will never change.
This summer, I will be transitioning from the Superintendent's role at Norton City Schools to the same role in the Hudson City School system. While I believe that serving children and communities is a wonderful and noble profession anywhere, it will be a challenge to leave our wonderful students and people who call Norton home. You have been amazing supporters, and that is appreciated.
This transition will occur during the summer, while most of our school community is enjoying the beauty of summer vacation. Until that point, all of you have my promise to continue our daily push forward as a school district. Led by many initiatives and hard working employees, this district will continue to create 21st century learning opportunities for our students.
I will take many opportunities in the future to thank people for their hard work, but I want our community to know how much the Norton Board of Education has meant to me. They place a wonderful trust in me, our leadership team, and our employees, and this allows us all to have a sincere belief in what our district can achieve. They have been supportive of me beyond measure, and I am thankful for the personal and professional relationships I have built with them.
We still have a lot of work to do this year, and I promise all of you of my strong intentions to continue to support our kids, our employees, and our school community until this transition time occurs.
Thank you for your continued support, and please let me know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Dana Addis, Superintendent
