John continues to be a working automotive instructor and technician, which enables him to relate to the students’ needs as technicians. John has taught for several of the Nation’s leading companies such as Snap-on, Firestone, Mac, OTC, A/C Delco, Federated, Midas, NAPA, ATA, ASA, ASC, STS, LTS, AAPEX, CARS, Vision, and many others. John has been selected to meet the training needs of several states including Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Maryland, New York, Nevada, California, Florida, Hawaii, Missouri, New Jersey, South Carolina, and North Carolina. A.S.T. Training honored by 2024 PTEN Innovation Awards

John Forro “Electron-John” from A.S.T. Training announced today that
The EV Detective Kit, a unique tool that efficiently helps technicians diagnose EV and PHEV vehicle’s charging battery complaints by testing the EVSE charger and the vehicle’s charging circuitry, was recognized among the best by the 2024 PTEN Innovation Awards. An esteemed and experienced panel of judges from the vehicle repair community recognized A.S.T. Training as a winner.

About PTEN

Evaluated by a panel of judges consisting of technicians and shop owners, the PTEN Innovation Awards recognize the most innovative products introduced in the last year to the automotive aftermarket. These tools, introduced or significantly updated within the last year, are evaluated based on their ability to make vehicle diagnosis and repair easier and more efficient as well as make shops more productive.

Winning submissions will be published in the September 2024 issue of PTEN and Professional Distributor. Those with the highest scores will be interviewed by a PTEN editor and be featured in a monthly column in each issue of PTEN (one winner per issue).
