The Treehouse at Highland Hall Waldorf School A treasure chest for the young and young at heart. Drop by our shop and enjoy a cup of coffee and experience the warmth we have to share!

The Treehouse Boutique & Cafe, nestled among the trees atop the hill, is the social hub of our school community. The Treehouse provides a shady oasis to enjoy a cup of coffee, browse our store and mingle with other parents. Our store offers many unique products that support Waldorf education: wooden and handmade toys, arts and craft supplies, organic personal care products and artisan gifts. The T

reehouse also features thoughtfully selected books on natural parenting, child development, Waldorf education and children's books for all ages. Our store hours during the school week are: 7:45-10 am and 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm. We are closed Wednesdays. Profits from all sales are dedicated to serving school programs. The Treehouse sells healthy snacks during school hours which are available to students. Our pre-pay Refreshment Card makes it easy for parents or students to pay for their snacks. We accept cash, checks or credit cards.

The Treehouse at Highland Hall Waldorf School

Yesterday felt like a surreal dream walking around an empty school. And knowing it will be a different reality for all our children, at least for...who knows how long...in our current, new, normal! πŸ™πŸΎπŸŒˆπŸ’œ

I miss seeing and hugging and being silly with these yummy children!

I can still hear the delightful echoes of laughter and singing of our sweet babes (younger and older), their sheer silliness, and pure shenanigans!! πŸ€ͺ
The bubbling of all sorts of conversations happening, squabbles and delicate play at recess, events being planned, parent and faculty meetings taking place, and so on...

As manager of The Treehouse, our precious school store, and social hub, I get to witness all these various activities throughout the day, from a gorgeous outdoor location, breathing in the fresh air, building my immunity, and consciously connecting with our community! πŸ™πŸΎβ™₯️

It is this knowing which makes it all the more tender, as our school communities become such a crucial part of our human experience. πŸ’œ

So, my daughter (who worked so diligently πŸ’•), and I, spent yesterday preparing a small gesture of our love for all the students we miss seeing every day!! (sponsored by the Parent Association)

So tomorrow at dropoff/pickup, families can come to get their FREE goodie snack bags!

Just a little something to give back, and put a smile on a child’s and parent’s face! πŸ’œ
Now, that’s the best medicine!!!
