Matador Scholarship Program (MSP) opportunities have been extended to July 15, 2022!

Certain CSUN Scholarships for the 2022-2023 school year have been reopened and are now available online. Scholarship applicants must be either new or continuing students. Eligible candidates include undergraduate and graduate students from varying majors.

*Opportunity has now been extended!*

The GE Honors Rising Scholar Award will recognize ten first-year students admitted to the General Education (GE) Honors Program with a $5,000 scholarship, which may be renewed for a second year based on maintaining GPA, program participation, and enrollment requirements.

Students who meet the criteria below will be eligible to participate in the General Education Honors program and may apply for the GE Honors Rising Scholars Award through the myMatador Scholarship Portal:
* Have been admitted to CSUN as a first-time freshman;
* Have applied to and accepted admission to the GE Honors Program before April 30th;
* Have a high school GPA of 3.75 or higher
* Have completed and filed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act Application (CADAA) online by the March 2nd priority deadline.

Award Amount: $5000 (renewable)

Innovation in Education Scholarship | LA Tutors 123 03/09/2022

LA Tutors awards students who showcase their creativity and make positive impacts with a $500 Innovation in Education scholarship. On an ongoing monthly basis, this scholarship is open to all currently enrolled high school and college students who showcase their creativity while helping those around them (whether that be in a creative fundraiser, inventive new app, series of blog posts on a particular theme, or another idea). The application deadline is 11:59 pm PST on the 20th of each month.

Requirements:
• Must be currently enrolled in high school or college
• Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 (or the equivalent)
• Must be a citizen of, permanent resident of, or hold a valid student visa in the United States or Canada

To Enter:

• Submit an essay describing your innovative project
• Provide supporting documentation (letter of recommendation, news article/photo featuring their project, etc.)

Check out two open scholarships for graduating CSUN student veterans: The Outstanding Graduating Veteran Award and the Student Veteran CSUN Service Award!

Both are $1000 scholarship awards open to full-time enrolled undergraduate and graduate students who are current or formerly been placed on active duty as a member of the U.S. Armed Forces, and are graduating this Fall 2021, Spring 2022 or Summer 2022 terms. However, there are notable differences:

- Must include a copy of official or unofficial transcript

Scholarship Program - The Ebell of Los Angeles 01/31/2022

The Ebell of Los Angeles Scholarship Committee awards scholarships to students attending Los Angeles County universities. with awards up to $5,000/year for up to three years or graduation, whichever comes first.

To be considered, applicants must:
1) Be either a US citizen or a permanent resident with a green card;
2) Be currently enrolled in and attending an accredited four-year public university in Los Angeles County. The earliest students can apply is during their freshman year;
3) Have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher;
4) Be enrolled full-time at the time of application; and
5) Have continuously resided in Los Angeles County for at least 366 days prior to the date of application.

The NSP Presidential Scholarship is a $10,000 scholarship award that will allows students to pursue a year-long creative project or research of their choice with the support of a CSUN Faculty member!

Eligibility Requirements:
- Must complete a mandatory online pre-application information survey: https://www.csun.edu/.../northridge-scholarship-program...
- Must submit an original project proposal and a faculty mentor statement
- Must have completed at least 60 units (24 units from CSUN if you are a transfer) by the end of the Spring 2022 term
- Must have minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA required to apply and maintain the award
- Must be an undergraduate student enrolled in 12+ units during the award year (Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 terms)

Scholarship America and Wells Fargo have now launched the 2022 Wells Fargo Veterans Scholarship and Wells Fargo Veterans Emergency Grant programs!

The Wells Fargo Veterans Scholarship Program provides renewable scholarships up to $5,000 per year, to fill gaps for eligible veterans, their spouses and widows after military benefits and other grants and scholarships have been utilized.
