We are interested in how evolution on contemporary time scales alters the outcome of species interactions and affects species and genetic diversity in communities. Congrats to Chelsea Brisson on proposing her thesis this afternoon! She's going to be looking at how bacteria affect the interaction between Symbiodinium and their octocoral hosts.
