This year, we have an incredible opportunity to multiply our impact:
🌟 The Dan and Cindy Chernow Challenge
Loyal CSUN supporters Dan Chernow and Cindy Chernow will unlock $1,000 for our Education Alumni Chapter Scholarship when 20 donors give to our fund on Giving Day. Every single gift—of any size—helps us reach that goal!
🏆 Alumni Association Chapter Challenge
The top three Alumni Association Chapters with the highest number of donors will win additional funding:
• 1st Place: $1,000
• 2nd Place: $700
• 3rd Place: $400
Let’s show the strength and commitment of our education community!
📚 College-Wide Opportunity
There is also the Milt and Debbie Valera Challenge for the Michael D. Eisner College of Education, which will award additional funds to the top three education funds with the most donors. Your participation helps elevate our entire college.
This is truly about collective impact. Whether you give $5 or $500, your contribution helps provide scholarships to future educators who will shape classrooms and communities for years to come.
Please consider making a gift on March 4 or 5 and sharing our link with your friends, family, and colleagues. Peer-to-peer support makes all the difference.
Thank you for your continued leadership and commitment to our students. Let’s come together and make this Giving Day a success! 💙
With appreciation,
Dr. Fallah

A dynamic program that highlights impactful educational practices, community initiatives, and alumni-led projects. This event provides a platform for sharing effective strategies and building partnerships across sectors.
Collaborative Programs
The chapter maintains a strong working relationship with the Child and Adolescent Development Alumni Chapter, partnering on events and initiatives that address shared goals and interests. This collaboration enhances interdisciplinary engagement and expands opportunities for alumni involvement.
Conferences and Professional Development
In addition to its annual events, the Education Alumni Chapter plays a leading role in organizing major professional development conferences. Notably, the chapter has hosted Trauma-Informed Care Conferences, bringing together practitioners, scholars, and community partners to explore evidence-based approaches that support student well-being and resilience.
